Hello my name is M.Sachiko Kamiyama-Perry.
I am a kitsuke sensei(instructor) with yamano-Ryu (Tokyo). I offer Omenjyo (license) courses that are registered in Japan.
Yamano-Ryu is one of the oldest and the largest kimono schools in Japan. Lessons with me MUST BE REGISTERED in Japan. Your lesson are registered and you diploma is also. I’m a Junshihan in kitsuke.
I have been working everyday since graduation. I am half Japanese and Brazilian.
Kimono always beautiful but I thought it wasn’t for me. Coming from Gion, kimono was in the daily lifestyle. I started to do the tea Ceremony and I hate asking someone to dress me. But I wanted proper lessons that didn’t use korin cords or magic belt. (Even tho, I love those things) I wanted to know how to dress quickly and proper. Our school has you dressing correctly in 20 minutes.
I love kimono so much that I helped my teachers dress 37 women for madame butterfly in LA, I competed in the national kimono competition in Disneyland Tokyo and dressing my model in 12.31 min. My students don’t only dress but they learn kimono etiquette.
We go out to afternoon tea, Duffy boating, strawberry picking, etc. We will become a group of friends.
